Your opinion matters

The views of all Aucklanders are important to us and there are a variety of ways you can tell us what you think on what matters to you. 

You can help shape Auckland and have your say on projects, plans and strategies including and relating to:

  • annual plans
  • bylaws
  • community halls and centres
  • libraries
  • environmental issues
  • district plans / the Unitary Plan
  • local board plans
  • local parks and playgrounds
  • long-term plans.

Ways to have your say

Talk to us at an event - Anyone can attend council and committee meetings open to the public. Learn more about how you can speak at an upcoming meeting.

Speak to your local representative - Your councillors and local board members are available to discuss your ideas, issues or concerns. Contact your ward councillors or local board members.

Participate in the People’s Panel surveys – through signing up to our People’s Panel - we will also let you know about other opportunities to have your say. This is aimed at individuals.

Sign up to our mailing list - Join our mailing list and we will keep you informed of consultations taking place and provide you with updates, where appropriate. This is aimed mainly at organisations but

individuals are also welcome to sign-up to our mailing list.
